IBRC law suit Veteran broadcaster faces judgment against property syndicate.

The Irish Bank Resolution Corporation has launched a multimillion-euro legal action against Gay Byrne, his wife Kathleen Watkins and their two daughters.

Last week, the IBRC, formerly Anglo Irish Bank, filed papers seeking a summary judgment against the Clonskeagh Partnership, a property syndicate set up by Byrne and his family, in the High Court over debts in excess of €2 million. The case was taken in recent days.
