Bank of Ireland’s oversubscribed €1 billion debt issue has been welcomed by Minister for Finance Michael Noonan.
He said that the bank’s issue of unguaranteed secured funding was “an important milestone on the path to full independence” for Irish banks.
Today was the first time since October 2010 that Bank of Ireland has been able to access international term debt markets in a benchmark public issue.
