Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has warned that "we can't go mad again" as Ireland prepares to exit its three-year bailout programme on Sunday, the first euro zone member to do so.

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan has warned that "we can't go mad again" as Ireland prepares to exit its three-year bailout programme on Sunday, the first euro zone member to do so.

"This isn't the end of the road. This is a very significant milestone on the road," Noonan told a news conference. He warned that the government must continue with the same types of policies as the country's deficit was still too high.
