The Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, claims that progress is being made on the issue of Anglo Irish promissory notes.

Speaking to reporters in Brussels, Noonan said that the Anglo promissory notes represented a "bad deal" for Ireland. He also said that "firewalls" would be "very important" for Ireland.
