Finance minister Michael Noonan has said that any European bank resolution fund “would have to apply retrospectively” for Ireland to support it.

Finance minister Michael Noonan has said that any European bank resolution fund “would have to apply retrospectively” for Ireland to support it.

According to a report by Bloomberg News, Noonan said there was no point in Ireland supporting and paying into a fund “to resolve colleagues’ banks” if it can’t tap such a fund to refinance part of its own bank bailout debt.
