Minister for Finance Michael Noonan and Minister for Health James Reilly have been forced to defend meetings they held with former Fine Gael minister Michael Lowry.

The now independent TD met both ministers in meetings since the Moriarty Tribunal made adverse findings against him. In recent days there has been criticism of Minister for the Environment Phil Hogan for holding such a meeting. All three ministers have defended their meetings, saying they were standard meetings...
