Mobile phone maker Nokia is increasing its investment in targeted sponsorship deals in Ireland, with emphasis on local events.

The company has a stand at this weekend’s Electric Picnic music festival, where it has set up a giant basket-shaped ‘‘pod’’ to showcase some of its newest products.
