Nobel prize for literature goes to Mo Yan

The 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to Chinese writer Mo Yan.

The 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature has been awarded to Chinese writer Mo Yan.

The award from the Stockholm-based Swedish Academy has been give 104 times since 1901.

Previous Nobel Laureates include Ireland’s Seamus Heaney, who won in 1995, as well as Harold Pinter, Toni Morrison, Doris Lessing, Mario Vargos Llosa and John M Coetzee.
