No new buying spree for Kerry Group

Acquisitions may not be at the forefront of Kerry’s plans, but investors will be quite pleased with the promise of strong earnings growth

A confident Kerry Group hit the right note with investors last week, with promises of strong earnings growth this year sending shares soaring to an all-time high.

Stan McCarthy, the chief executive who took the reins in 2008, indicated that huge opportunities lay ahead for Kerry, so much so that acquisitions may take a back seat as it focuses on organic growth.
