While Barbra Streisand is charging more than €550 for tickets to her Castletown House concert, it is festivals like Oxegen that will bring in the big money for promoters, writes Simon Carswell.

Some of the top names in music, including Barbra Streisand and the Rolling Stones, will perform one-off gigs in Ireland this summer, but music promoters will be relying on their two and three-day festivals to keep the tills ringing.
