Irish Nationwide has ruled out making plug-on acquisitions to bolster its loan book before the expected trade sale of the building society is completed next year.

Irish Nationwide has ruled out making plug-on acquisitions to bolster its loan book before the expected trade sale of the building society is completed next year.

The building society is expected to re-present its financial statements over the past two years to reflect the new International Financial Reporting Standards when it reports its 2005 figures at the end of next month.
