Nissan expects to create 2,000 jobs in Britain following a decision to produce its new Invitation concept car in Sunderland, starting in mid 2013.

Nissan expects to create 2,000 jobs in Britain following a decision to produce its new Invitation concept car in Sunderland, starting in mid 2013.

Production of the small car is being supported by the British government via a regional growth fund.

Nissan said the project would create around 2,000 new jobs at the plant and wider supply chain.
