NISO: HSA celebrates 1,000 lives saved in 25 years

Since the establishment of the HSA it is estimated that 1,000 lives have been saved in the Irish workplace.

President Michael D. Higgins was presented with a Waterford Crystal vase and a copy of Brian Kennedy's Just Follow the Floodlights by Pauric Corrigan, NISO president and Martin O'Halloran, HSA chief executive.

Since the establishment of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) 25 years ago it is estimated that 1,000 lives have been saved in the Irish workplace.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary the HSA jointly hosted a conference earlier this month on the theme “Safety is a Mindset”, with the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO).
