Newspaper sales decline in 2012

Sales of newspapers in Ireland decreased further in 2012 with all major titles showing declines, according to the latest figures from the Audited Bureau of Circulations.

Sales of newspapers in Ireland decreased further in 2012 with all major titles showing declines, according to the latest figures from the Audited Bureau of Circulations.

The Irish Independent saw its sales drop 5.5 per cent over the year to an average of 123,981.

Sales of The Irish Times dropped 8.1 per cent to an average of 88,356 while the Irish Examiner slipped by six per cent to 39,555.
