NewsCorp bids for Consolidated Media

The Australian arm of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has offered to pay $2 billion for all of Consolidated Media Holdings, giving it full control of content provider Fox Sports.

The Australian arm of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has offered to pay $2 billion for all of Consolidated Media Holdings, giving it full control of content provider Fox Sports.

Consolidated Media owns 25 per cent of Sydney-based pay TV operator Foxtel and 50 per cent of Fox Sports, a producer of subscription sports television channels.
