Shanahan Engineering, the Dublin-based engineering operation formerly headed by entrepreneur Liam Shanahan, made a pre-tax profit of €1.2 million in 2011, *writes Philip Connolly*.

Accounts just filed show that turnover was €22.2 million for the 12-month period to the year ended December 31 2011.
