Communicorp has appointed a new group chief executive, Gervaise Slowey, the former managing director of WPP-owned ad agency Ogilvy & Mather Dublin.

Denis O'Brien's media holding company Communicorp has appointed a new group chief executive. Gervaise Slowey is former managing director of WPP-owned ad agency Ogilvy & Mather Dublin.
Slowey, also non-executive director of Eason, began her career in 1990 with CPC Foods (now Unilever) as brand manager. She moved into advertising with BBDO Germany and, in 1996, joined Ogilvy & Mather in Vienna, eventually joining the Irish operation in 2003.
