Judgments down by 34%

The number of registered judgments against businesses fell 34 per cent to a new half year low of 641 in 2014, according to the Registry Trust.

This marked a 61 per cent reduction compared with the 1,628 judgments recorded in the first half of 2011. Judgments registered against non-corporates were down 38 percent to 246 in the first half of 2014, while corporate judgments fell by 31 percent to 395.
