The owners of the Quays and Buttercrane shopping centres in Newry, which have attracted significant business from the Republic, have plans for significant expansion.

Discussions are also under way about building park-and-ride facilities in Newry, to cope with the influx of shoppers from south of the border and ease traffic congestion.
