NewERA set up to oversee asset sales

The Government has established a strategic investment fund called NewERA to oversee the potential sale of stakes in state assets.

The Government has established a strategic investment fund called NewERA to oversee the potential sale of stakes in state assets.

NewERA will be headed up by by Dr Eileen Fitzpatrick, who is currently working with the National Pensions Reserve Fund, and will operate under the National Treasury Management Agency. It will oversee any potential sales of stakes in ESB, Bord Gais, EirGrid, Bord na Mona and Coillte.
