New Twitter policy to help Irish businesses

Twitter has changed its direct messaging policy to increase its use in customer relationship management, a move that will help Irish businesses communicate with customers.

Direct messages, which are private messages between users, previously only allowed followers to message accounts which followed them. A new opt-in service allows users to receive direct messages from accounts they don't follow.
