Baxter provides charity funding

The Baxter International Foundation has donated US$230,000 (€160,805) to Mayo charity Hope House and the Irish Hospice Foundation in Dublin. A grant of $110,000 (€76,907) will go towards a pilot programme by the Irish Hospice Foundation to train healthcare specialists in palliative care for non-cancer patients in Dublin.

An additional grant of $120,000 (€83,898) will enable Hope House to recruit a new addictions counsellor for its substance abuse programme.
