Thrill for Ireland as horror film picked up abroad

Irish-made horror film The Canal has been sold to independent film and video distribution company, The Orchard, which has acquired all US and Canadian rights for the title.

Directed by Ivan Kavanagh, the film had its premiere at New York's Tribeca Film Festival earlier this month, and stars Rupert Evans and Antonia Campbell-Hughes.
