Airtel wins US federal deal

The Federal Aviation Administration in the US has agreed a deal to use communications software developed by Dublin company Airtel ATN.

Test equipment developed by Airtel ATN will be used in the FAA’s Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) programme. The Dublin company will work with Harris Corporation, a Florida-based ICT company that has been contracted by the FAA to implement the data communications element of NextGen.
