A Longford producer of pet food has awarded a €100,000 contract to Dell to build a hardware platform for a new manufacturing system amid plans for expansion.

C&D Foods acquired Danish company Avorit in October two years after buying Nestlé's pet food operations in Holland. The acquisition made the Edgeworthstown firm the second largest manufacturer of private label pet food in Europe behind Germany's Saturn Pet Foods....
