New name has Country Mix radio walking on Sunshine

Six years after it first asked, Dublin’s Country Mix has finally had its request for a name change granted.

Six years after it first asked, Dublin’s Country Mix has finally had its request for a name change granted.

The broadly easy-listening music station is reviving a name from the 1980s as it rebrands itself as Dublin’s Sunshine 106.8. Its broadcast content is to remain unchanged.

The board of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) approved the name change at its last meeting.
