Accountancy bodies have proposed a new approach to dealing with tax issues hanging over properties in receivership which they hope will help get the market moving again.

At the moment, receivers are responsible for any unresolved tax issues attaching to properties, but it is understood that these issues are frequently an obstacle to the sale of commercial or investment properties.
