Ires, the newest addition to Ireland's ever-expanding Reit club, plans to snap up properties from vulture funds and private equity outfits as part of its strategy to become Ireland's largest commercial residential landlord.

Ires, the Irish Residential Properties Real Estate Investment Trust, is also eyeing deals to buy apartment blocks and multi-unit family properties from Nama, the state's bad bank, as well as receivers acting for financial institutions.
