Horses have been in the news for all the wrong reasons over the past fortnight, but a new web television station now plans to promote Irish equestrian pursuits.

Irish Horse TV launches on February 5, and will air events and programmes on flat and jump racing, excluding live racing.

It will air the Olympic disciplines of show jumping, eventing and dressage, and target a domestic and international audience.
