Slovenia has always been the most prosperous country in the Balkans and it has the highest purchasing power of the ten new European Union member states.

“The average monthly salary in Slovenia is €1,000 and there is a very high quality of life there,” said Leon Marc, first secretary of the Slovenian embassy to Ireland.

“Until now, Irish companies may have considered it too expensive or too small to invest in.”
