New Director of Corporate Enforcement appointed

Ian Drennan has been appointed as Director of Corporate Enforcement to replace Paul Appleby, as the ODCE says that the investigative phase of its Anglo investigations is almost complete.

Ian Drennan has been appointed as Director of Corporate Enforcement to replace Paul Appleby, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton has announced.

Drennan will takes up the position tomorrow. His predecessor at the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement (ODCE) has held the post since 2001. Drennan has served as chief executive of the Irish Auditing & Accounting Supervisory Authority for the past eight years.
