New corporate governance code fails on ‘say on pay’ clause

A corporate governance watchdog has described as ‘disappointing’ the failure of the Irish Stock Exchange to include a ‘say on pay’ clause in the proposed new compliance code.

A corporate governance watchdog has described as ‘disappointing’ the failure of the Irish Stock Exchange to include a ‘say on pay’ clause in the proposed new compliance code.

Proxy voting agency Manifest has been advocating that Irish plcs put executive remuneration reports to a vote at agms. Earlier this month the Irish Stock Exchange published a draft of the Irish Corporate Governance Code.
