New BMW technology shines light on future plans

Later this summer BMW will begin to deliver the first examples of its new carbon fibre hybrid sports car - the i8 - to customers, and last week it demonstrated the futuristic laser-based lighting system that will soon become an option on that car. It is set to be the first time that this technology will be put into series production offering illumination never before seen on a road car.
