Pitching for contracts is a waste of time for most graphic design firms, according to Ciaran Flanagan, the new head of the Graphic Design Business Association (GBDA).
Flanagan, who took over as chairman of the association six months ago, said graphic design firms should be judged on their portfolios of past work, rather than being required to work on a job before they even get the contract.
