A new national transplant office is to be established by the Health Service Executive (HSE) next month in an effort to boost Ireland’s rate of organ transplants.
It is understood that Professor Jim Egan, consultant respiratory and transplant physician at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, will head the new office.
