Nevin Institute calls for €800m Budget adjustment

The government should make an adjustment of €800 million in Budget 2015, according to the Nevin Economic Research Institute (NERI).

The government is set to announce a Budget with no new cutbacks and no net tax increase.

The government should make an adjustment of €800 million in Budget 2015, according to the Nevin Economic Research Institute (NERI).

The economic think-tank said that such an adjustment would balance the requirement for fiscal prudence with the need to avoid doing harm to an emerging economic recovery, it said in its latest Quarterly Economic Observer.
