Netflix signs deal with Miramax for Irish service

US-based streaming television provider Netflix has reached a new multi-year digital licensing agreement with Miramax for Ireland and Britain.

Netflix announced last month that it would launch a new service here early in 2012 that will allow subscribers to watch content streamed over the Internet to connected TVs, tablets, game consoles, computers and mobile phones.

The deal means Netflix can show Miramax titles on the service in Britain and Ireland and follows similar deals with Lionsgate...
