Finbarr Fitzpatrick, the secretary general of the Irish Hospital Consultants Association (ICHA), confirmed that his association selected the men.
The Medical Council last week found the three obstetricians – Professor Walter Prendiville, Dr Bernard Stuart and Dr John Murphy - guilty of professional misconduct in their exoneration of Neary’s surgical practices.
