NCB to be sold to Investec

UPDATE: NCB Stockbrokers' owners, mostly company personnel, have agreed to sell the business to Investec for an estimated €32 million

A deal has been agreed to sell NCB Stockbrokers, one of Ireland's best known brokerages, to the Irish arm of South African banking group Investec.

NCB owners, comprising a large number of its staff plus Quinn Financial services, will benefit from a deal worth an estimated €32 million.

The sale price was given at €4.35 million plus the net asset value of Neontar, the owner of NCB, currently said to be €28 million.
