National Aquatic Centre renews ESBIE contract

The National Aquatic Centre (NAC) in Dublin has renewed a contract to source energy from ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) for a further 12 months.

The National Aquatic Centre (NAC) in Dublin has renewed a contract to source energy from ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) for a further 12 months.

The €800,000 deal to source up to 5GWHof electricity for the facility in Blanchardstown, extends an existing contract agreed in February 2008. ESBIE will source power for the NAC from its gas-fired Dublin Bay power station on the Poolbeg Peninsula and a 400MW Coolkeeragh power station near Derry.
