The National Asset Management Agency (Nama) is conducting a so-called "asset search" on Garrett Kelleher, the Irish property developer who once dreamed of building America's tallest skyscraper.

The state agency has recruited experts to examine disclosures made by Kelleher about his personal finances, income and his assets.

Nama wants the forensic investigators to verify that Kelleher and his company, Shelbourne Developments, have disclosed all assets and income streams to the agency.
