Musgrave to run all Superquinn stores

Musgrave, the €4 billion Cork retail group, has no plans to sell any of the 24 Superquinn stores due to rebrand to SuperValu next year.

Musgrave, the €4 billion Cork retail group, has no plans to sell any of the 24 Superquinn stores due to rebrand to SuperValu next year.

Although SuperValu operates on an independently-owned franchise basis, the old Superquinn stores will be run separately by Musgrave.

But in-store prices are set to drop as a result of the savings achieved by the rebranding of Superquinn, the Musgrave chief executive, Chris Martin, has confirmed.
