Musgrave profits up 3% on Irish sales increase

Retail wholesaler Musgrave Group has posted a 3 per cent increase in profits before tax to €72 in the year to the end of December 2012.

Retail wholesaler Musgrave Group has posted a 3 per cent increase in profits before tax to €72 in the year to the end of December 2012.

The group, which operates the Supervalu and Centra brands in partnership with independent retailers and which bought Superquinn in 2011, reported sales of €4.9 billion, up 11 per cent on the previous year.
