Musgrave Group, the €4.9 billion Cork retail giant, is considering an expansion into new markets in Europe, as it seeks to grow the business beyond Ireland and Britain.

Musgrave Group, the €4.9 billion Cork retail giant, is considering an expansion into new markets in Europe, as it seeks to grow the business beyond its traditional heartland of Ireland and Britain.

Chris Martin, the chief executive, said the group was exploring the possibility of investing in "new territories" in the coming year, although he declined to comment on exact locations.
