The €60 million Moyvalley hotel and golf resort in Co Kildare has become the latest golfing casualty of the downturn, as Irish Nationwide Building Society has seized possession of the 550-acre resort.

The €60 million Moyvalley hotel and golf resort in Co Kildare has become the latest golfing casualty of the downturn, as Irish Nationwide Building Society has seized possession of the 550-acre resort.

The building society has foreclosed on the property, as well as a related course in Co Westmeath, the New Forest Golf Club. Both Moyvalley and New Forest are owned by Eassda, the property development firm owned by Alastair Jackson.
