Private healthcare consortium Mount Carmel Medical reported operating losses of €1.56 million last year.

Private healthcare consortium Mount Carmel Medical reported operating losses of €1.56 million last year.

Recently filed accounts for the group of private hospitals reveal it had retained losses of €2 million at the end of December 2006,up from€1.2million in 2005.

Kevin Holder, chief operating officer of Mount Carmel Medical Group, said that mounting losses were not a concern, given the significant refurbishment programme undertaken by the group at both Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny...
