Healthcare company Mount Carmel Medical (MCM) will seek planning permission for its €100million co-located hospital in Sligo next month.

MCM, which is owned by developer Gerry Conlan, is finalising the project agreement for the 96-bed private hospital in the grounds of Sligo General Hospital with the Health Service Executive (HSE).

The healthcare firm, which owns Sligo’s existing private hospital, St Joseph’s in Garden Hill, will be the second consortium to apply for planning permission...
