I'd heard of parents who liked their child's company so much they kept them up to 11 o'clock because they'd been out at work all day.

I don't often find much to pat myself on the back about being a parent. Take cooking; I recently read with shame a mummy blog where exciting eastern cuisine was created for a family of three for a week on €40, while we eat bog-standard food for €170 (admittedly, I also buy our grapes in M&S). But - possibly due to my overriding desire for the great struggle to be over for yet another day...
