More than four in five small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are not claiming tax relief for research and development (R&D), according to a study to be released next week.

More than four in five small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are not claiming tax relief for research and development (R&D), according to a study to be released next week.

It also found that two in five Irish SMEs did not realise that they were conducting the type of research for which they could claim tax credits.
