More than 30 Irish technology companies collapsed last year, according to figures from business consultancy Farrell Grant Sparks (FGS).

A total of 31 tech firms went out of business in 2005, a reduction of almost 45 per cent from 56 collapses in 2004. The figures include companies that went into receivership, examinership or liquidation last year.
